Homework (8 assignments) will be assigned every week and the assignments posted here. Assignments will be due every Thursday at the start of discussion section. Late homeworks will not be accepted. The lowest homework score will be dropped.

Quizzes (8 quizzes) will be given every Thursday in discussion section. The quiz will be a subset of the homework due that day (one or two problems from the homework just turned in). If you are late to discussion you will not be given extra time for the quiz. The lowest two quiz scores will be dropped.

Exams (one midterm and the final) no makeup exams will be given.

Grades will be assigned as follows:

• Homework: 10%
• Quizzes: 20%
• Midterm Exam: 0% (bonus points for scores above 50)
• Final Exam: 70%

Both the Professor and TA will hold office hours each week (times above). Questions directly related to homework (e.g. specific homework problems) should be addressed to the TA; questions regarding theoretical ideas and course material (e.g. questions about something stated during lecture) are better asked of the Professor. The Professor may refer you to the TA if you ask him questions specifically about the homework.
