Course Description
This course covers:
- Exponential functions, logarithm functions and inverse trigonometric functions
- Integration techniques: integration by parts, trigonometric substitution and partial fractions
- Taylor Polynomials
- Infinite Series: computation and convergence tests
Homework Policy
Homework (10 assignments) will be assigned every Friday in lecture and posted on the course website. Assignments are due the following Friday at the start of lecture.
Roughly half of the homework score will be for completeness (making a reasonable attempt at all the problems). The other half will be given for a chosen few graded problems. Late homeworks will not be accepted. The lowest two homework scores will be dropped.
Exam Policy
Two midterms and a final exam. No makeup exams will be given. The lower of the two midterm scores will be dropped, provided the final exam score is higher (see below).
Grading corrections must be requested within 2 weeks of the exam being taken.
Grading Scheme
Your grade is determined as the best of the following two options:
- Homework: 20% (best 8 out of 10)
- Midterms: 40% (20% each)
- Final Exam: 40%
- Homework: 20% (best 8 out of 10)
- Midterms: 20% (best one of the two)
- Final Exam: 60%
